Landing in Johannesburg today you’ll be met from the plane by your guide for the day, Adam Mokoke of Aah Africa. He’ll take you on a private guided tour of some of the most seminal sites in the City of Gold, including Soweto, the Apartheid Museum, Constitution Hill, Maboneng and Newtown. On this inspiring and uplifting tour you’ll have a chance to delve deep into why Johannesburg is central to the history of South Africa from one of its own residents.
You’ll end the day with dinner at Rosebank’s Marble restaurant and overnight at The Peech Hotel.

Day 2
After a relaxing first night in South Africa and with plenty of time for a leisurely breakfast, you’ll be taken back to O.R.Tambo International for your late morning flight to Victoria Falls. Here you’ll meet your guide Libby White who will take you on a tour of the waterfall and surrounding rainforest before dropping you off at your lodging, Mbano Hotel.
Day 3
You’ve an early start this morning to catch the first of the animals waking up in the Zambezi National Park. Your guide for the day is Charles Brightman who will guide you on foot and by vehicle through this magical corner of the world. After a picnic in the park, you’ll head back to town for either high tea at the Victoria Falls Hotel or a chance to test your balance on the historic Bridge Tour.
This evening, as the sun sets on the mighty Zambezi, you’ll take a dinner cruise past the hippos and crocodiles and overnight at Mbano Hotel again.

You’ll start the day with an opportunity to shop in the town and markets of Victoria Falls where excellent craft work and art is readily available. You’ll then fly back to Johannesburg in the middle of the day.
Enjoy a long table supper at Yeoville Dinner Club this evening.
Over the next two days you’ll be staying in the luxurious Safari Camp at Tanda Tula.

There’s a chance for a lie-in this morning as your flight only departs just before 1 p.m. This time you’re off to Kruger Park, specifically the Timbavati Game Reserve which is unfenced to the national park but limited to private guests only (no public day visitors are allowed). You’ll be met at Hoedspruit Airport by your hosts for the next three nights who are the team from Tanda Tula (literally ‘for the love of peace’). There will be time for your first evening game drive when you arrive this afternoon.
You'll also be going on two game drives a day with your private ranger in a private safari vehicle. You’ll have the chance to go on walking safaris through the bushveld too and dine under the stars each evening. The middle of each day will be free for you to snooze and sleep off the excellent lunches provided here.
The team at Tanda Tula will transfer you this morning to your flight onwards to Cape Town which leaves around 2 p.m. On arrival you’ll be met by your guide, Chris Hannival, from Five Star Guides who will transport you to the centre of town where you’ll be staying at the famous Mount Nelson Hotel for the last leg of your incredible journey.

You’ll take a walking tour of Cape Town’s iconic District Six (where Chris was born), the Bo Kaap and the Old Town.

Today you’ll take a tour of the Cape Winelands with lunch at the splendid Delaire Graf on the Helshoogte Pass between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. You’ll visit your choice of two or three estates, guided by sommelier and wine judge Fiona Macdonald throughout.

On your last full day in Cape Town, you’ll enjoy a tour of the Cape Peninsula visiting the pretty seaside towns of Kalk Bay, Simonstown and Hout Bay as well as the nature reserve at Cape Point and the Boudler’s Beach penguin colony.

Dinner awaits at the tiny, noisy and boisterous Miller’s Thumb, a Cape Town institution.

Back in Cape Town you’ll have dinner at Kloof Street House, just a short walk along the effervescent Kloof Street from the Mount Nelson.

You’ll have lunch at the busy Olympia Café and dine this evening at the legendary Aubergine.

After another of the Mount Nelson’s excellent breakfasts you’ll be transported to Cape Town International for your flight home.

Our logo is an image of a skull found in the Rising Star Cave System in Gauteng, South Africa in 2013. It was named ‘homo naledi’, meaning ‘human of the stars’.
The cave system has so far given rise to the remains of over 15 individuals, making it the largest hominid fossil remains site ever discovered.
