Jan Harmsgat Country House

Make your way to Montagu and Jan Harmsgat Country House.

This beautiful 5 star guest farm was established in 1723 and is situated in a lush mountainous belt, surrounded by fruit, nut and olive orchards. The 680 hectare farm is yours to explore and is also home to indigenous wildlife such as Springbok, Ostrich, Grey Rheebok and Black Wildebeest.
A wonderful breakfast is included in your overnight stay. Guests also have the option of enjoying lunch and dinner at the restaurant which takes pride in using fresh, locally grown produce and preparing many ingredients by hand, such as pasta. You will of course be invited to taste the wine! Dinner is booked for the day of your arrival. Should you wish to stay for dinner on other nights, you are welcome to arrange this with the friendly staff.

Once the home of Cape Town’s first mayor, John Parker, this ten-room guesthouse is famous for being the most highly rated B&B in central Cape Town many years in a row. Rovos Rail

From Parker Cottage you will be transported by their driver to Cape Town Station, departure point of the Rovos Rail. You need to be at the station no later than 10h00 for an 11h00 departure, so your driver will be at Parker Cottage at 09h30.

Known to be the most luxurious railway in the world, the Rovos rail boasts with five-star cuisine and a selection of South African wines. This magnificent newly rebuilt train, that can carry approximately 72 passengers, will transport you back to an era of African exploration.

You will be accommodated in the luxurious Pullman cabin for the journey to Pretoria. A rental car will be waiting for you upon your arrival at Pretoria Railway Station. Make your way to Stirling Manor.

This beautiful Safari lodge is located in the Madikwe Game Reserve, along the border of South Africa and Botswana. Madikwe is one of the few malaria-free reserves in this area.
